Imagine if Takapuna Beach had a wharf, just as it did 100 years ago. But not a huge structure dominating the beach, this time a new generation floating pontoon style wharf that is environmentally friendly. Think of all the benefits it would bring to Takapuna Beach and the North Shore....providing access to the Hauraki Gulf and the Waitemata Harbour for recreational boats, tourism vessels, and small ferries.
